Crickets chirping... Pumpkins staring...

Mmmmmm this is delicious... Oh hi there!

What's that? I have a little pumpkin on my face? Oh uh, does anyone have a napkin?

I know this probably looks like some kind of twisted zombie pumpkin-brains eating sheep scene from a horror movie, but it's just my lunch. I read on the great Internet that sheep love pumpkins, so when I started carving this pumpkin I thought I'd have a little taste and - my goodness, it's true! This pumpkin is so yummy!

I guess I got a little carried away and probably should get back to actually carving it... oh forget it, who am I kidding - I'm just going to eat the whole thing.

So just keep me in mind if you're carving pumpkins and don't want the pumpkin guts! Wow, I should start a service...

BaaAAAAAaaaaaaa.....

This Dream in Color Baby is... haunted!

There once was a knitter who so desperately wanted Dream in Color Baby at a bargain price that she kept refreshing the deal page over and over, hoping it would appear.

Hours, days, then weeks passed.... but to her dismay, it never appeared.

Eventually, after not hearing from her for some time, her friends began to worry. But upon entering her house... only the soft glow of the computer screen, still on the deal page could be found!

To this day no one knows for sure what happened...

Some say her finger got tired from hitting refresh and she was just out getting lunch when her friends stopped by, who clearly jumped to conclusions about her disappearance, and she's probably excitedly placing her order right now.

Others think she turned into a ghost, haunting Dream in Color Baby and can be heard whispering the projects she wanted to make on the cool autumn breeze into the ears of those who buy it, but only in the last moments before sunset while you're holding the yarn and facing West... or something like that.

BaaAAAAAAaaaaaa.....

It's almost Halloween, do you have your costume picked out? There's precious little time... it's Monday and Halloween is Saturday!

I know, not everyone gets as excited as I do about this silly holiday, but it's really all about having fun. When else can you dress up as something scary or silly and not be given odd looks for it? Hmm, well I guess if you're scary to begin with, people might not give you odd looks for fear of their own personal safety, but that's beside the point.

Just think of the candy! Oh and carving pumpkins! And... warding off evil spirits according to the ancient Celtic belief... you don't want evil spirits hanging around do you??

I know this looks bad... me peaking over this yarn, the big "Seduce" label right there - but it's not what you think.

Most people would immediately jump to conclusions - though if you cover the label, the entire message in the picture changes. Go ahead and try!

See, what you really should be asking yourself is "Should Dizzy have been allowed to use the power sander while you were out shopping after you cleaned the kitchen this morning because now it looks like it hasn't been dusted in about 3 years" because without "Seduce" in the picture, that's the sheepish expression that's really going on here.

Did you happen to pick up a new duster while you were out?

No matter how many times I try, I can't get past the first step. I mean it's easy to get here, but the next one up is a challenge. I always hope the next time I'll be on the second one, but alas.

I suppose I am Dizzy Sheep after all, not a name inspiring gracefulness or dexterity.

I wonder if I were on the second skein, if the third would be easy or even more difficult...

For the most part I was camera shy, but here's a little shot from the festival I was at last weekend...

I decided to keep my adventures a bit more incognito, especially because I was preoccupied with checking on Fred's Fiber Fiasco. Knowing him, it wouldn't have been out of the question he'd do something crazy like start selling gravel and other stones.

But here you can see I did find plenty of soft wonderful things to check out... I hope everyone who went had a swell time!

Everyone is getting very excited for Halloween, everyone except me though...

As you all probably know, I tend to scare easily. A scary costume for me would be something along the lines of an ugly colored sweater clashing with a holiday hat and badly knit mittens. Oh my, that gives me chills just thinking about it! Forget really scary things like witches and zombies...

Everyone at Dizzy Sheep Offices is insisting I dress up though, so I don't know what I'm going to do. I tried to tell them I'd be a frightened knitter because that's easy enough and will definitely be the case, but they just laughed and said I have to come up with something better.

What's the least scariest thing I could dress up as?
